whats next? 2009

How will the new year find you in your relationship with Jesus Christ? Any resolution should include a definite purpose in improving your walk with God. Not only in the new year but each new day should be started with a resolve to increase our faith in Jesus and the task set before us. Go ye into all the world and spread the gospel. Gospel,"Glad tidings"; Jesus Christ , His life, His message of salvation, His gift of healing, compassion, great love, and hope for every one on the face of the earth. Hope that goes beyond this life and what we not only face tomorrow but next year. As the that great old hymn says, "my hope is built on nothing less than Jesus and His righteousness". Thank you God for your Son and the fear He takes out of next year and tomorrow. "May your heart and spirit seek after the perfect will of God in the new year. Run your race with Holy Spirit's strength and not your own. God bless and keep you is my prayer for you in this coming year!

p.s. Jesus wants to be your future, so please let Him.

I no longer make New Year resolutions but I do want to strive to make Jesus the love of my life more and more every day. I want to keep anything out of my life that will put God second. In reading Jeremiah I realized one way to commit adultery is by putting gods before our Jesus. Why? Because we are paying attention to the "other" god. My prayer is that we as christians will let Jesus fill us more and more each day. I pray that we show our love to others as well. Let's be the bride that wew are meant to be for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I,too, do not make New Year's resolutions. I have found in the past that I was making worldly resolutions that only were made to be broken. I was only hurting myself by doing such things and not really looking at the correct perspective. I now ask God to use me, a willing vessel, for whatever He needs of me. I want to do His will and not mine. It is awesome serving such a wonderful Savior and so rewarding at the same time. He will never let us down. May God Bless you all!
